Welcome to a website about Antonietta Stella, an Italian soprano, who was at the peak of her career in the 1950s and 1960s. She sang in every major theater and had many opening nights at La Scala and Metropolitan. Her voice has Italianate warmth, the legato is melting and her pianissimo singing beautiful. She is a versatile artist, who seems to communicate through a sincere and obvious love of singing. On stage she was wonderful, in addition to her voice, being a good actress and a ravishing beauty. Luckily to those who never had the chance to see her on stage, she appears in surprisingly many videos. She is also found in many wonderful recordings. Today Antonietta Stella lives in Rome, still active teaching and presiding juries.
